I'm not json-in-json plugin user, just reviewing previous PR.
If you are this plugin user, do you interested in taking over this project and contacting plugin author?

Yes i am aware of this. However i found it a good idea to keep it here for two reasons:

1. so any user can simply find the fixes and apply them to their environment
2. this project gets resurrected or maybe another maintainer can pick it up

I don't think I would be a good fit as a maintainer, as I'm currently lacking the knowledge and resources to support this.
